Creatine

Case
A high school athlete comes in to ask you about the best creatine product for helping him build muscle so he can perform better at track and field events.
Question
Which of the following is NOT true about creatine?
Answer d is NOT TRUE. Answers a, b, and c are TRUE.
Creatine enhances athletic performance in endurance sports such as marathons

Creatine naturally occurs in meat and fish. It is naturally synthesized in the human body in the liver and kidneys, and transported to the muscles where it increases phosphocreatine levels, increases lean body mass and improves athletic performance for weight training and short, intense exercise. It does NOT appear to be useful for endurance sports performance. There are several case reports that creatine appears to be helpful for children with mitochondrial cytopathy, hepatic guanidinoacetate methyltransferase (GAMT) deficiency and hyperornithinemia.
